Positron Emission Tomograph (PET) 1 August 2015

In summer of 2015 we completed the large prototype of PET type tomograph for the research group of prof. Pawel Moskal in Physics Institute at Jagiellonian University.
We have designed and built the mechanical structure with detectors (several hundred of photomultipliers).
The tomograph invented by prof. Moskal has several advantages over other contemporary versions. It accumulates information from entire body of a patients simultaneously instead of just one cross-section plane. Moreover, the design holds promise to be much cheaper than the devices currently in use with comparable parameters.
